Layer birds start laying from about 18 weeks of age up to about 80 weeks. The dietary requirements of laying birds vary throughout their growth and production stages. The birds are started on the feed that allows them to grow and develop internal organs. For the production stage, we encourage a 3 phase feeding regime based on the age of the birds. This includes early lay, mid lay and late lay layers mashes. However, we also have a single feed that can be fed from the start of lay right until the end of the laying period.
